Still Nothing

Many many months of research and still nothing.
There are some options like the Mitsubishi official Ipod controller, but it costs too much (at least for me)....
So I will keep trying.

Don't give up man. I'm looking for a solution for my lancer. It would be really nice to get this idea(DIN to RCA) to work.

I'm with you, dude.

Facing the same problem with the
U076 radio i picked up.
The diagram page you show, says it's from an 02-05 Lancer.

I'm trying to put it in my 04 Pontiac. (I need the dual DIN factory space for my CB.)

If I ever get anywhere with it, I'll be putting info up at webpages.charter.net/dyme

Good Luck to us both,

HEy, Trying the same thing with a mitsu mirage. Appriecate the ground work you have done as I have only spent the past few hours trying to figure it out. It looks as if you are pretty close with the mazda diagram. Looks like you need a way to short the connection between the CD button and the power (acc). I'm not sure if you've given up on the project, any more info you have would be handy

Hey Tim,
I sort gave up. I am not researching as much as I used to have. But I still look for stuff once in a while.
What a did a while ago was to email all of those adapter Manufactors like PAC, and asked for a Mitsubishi Eclipse adapter.. but so far no luck.
In regards to your post, yeah it seems like this is what I need, I had someone else email me and said they tried but it didn't work...since i dont know much about electrical in a car, I didn't want to try and ruin something... i will keep blogging if I find anything else

I will see how far I get with this and let you know if I come up with anything.

Hey ! I have just added AUX input in my Mitsubishi Carisma 2000 car. I had officially installed Alpine cd-changer which had cable converter from M-Bus 8-pins to 13-pins DIN. I have cut ground/L/R wires and put a jack. So the head is still thinking cd changer is playing but actually sound is inserted from the jack.

There are few minuses of that solution: 1) you need to have at least one CD in cd changer to let it play - otherwise head cut a sound. 2) you need a changer :-)

I know some russian company produces cd-changer's emulators with AUX input and/or ipod controlling unit. It costs around $100 - so it not cheap solution. I read on their website it's needed an controller which talks with head unit. So just simple wireing wont help really..

Hi Ricardo
I am looking everywhere for an AUX in solution for my 2003 Eclipse Infinity HU w/ 6 CD changer. I don't want to change the unit either.
I can't believe this is so hard. Any mp3 hookup would do. (the FM transmitter solution is too noisy) Did you find any good solutions? Did you get an answer or link on the Russian company?

Hi George,
Nope, I am still looking. One option that I have seen is that some radios while pressing the CD button down for 2 seconds, it will turn into AUX. if yours does that, then you can get the connector from ebay. But IT HAS to switch to AUX.

alternative solution is FM modulator, which is a bit different from FM transmitter. It uses radio input port/wire to sent aux input signal while cutting FM input. The unit has a switch to turn on/off radio, and usually it costs $25 - 80 depending on the manufacturer. Hope it give you more options to your mod.
